Refunds due to non delivery of course by the Institute
The Institute will make a full refund of tuition fees less administration costs (enrolment fee and OSHC already applied for) incurred in the application and enrolment process if:
• In cases of Provider default (Where the Institute defaults on its obligations as laid out in Part 3, Division 2, Section 27 of the ESOS Act). This includes: - The course does not start on the agreed starting date. - The course stops being provided after it starts and before it is completed. - Where the course is not provided in full to the student because a sanction has been imposed on the Institute
Refunds under the above conditions will be paid in full to the student within 14 days.
The Institute may arrange for another course, or part of a course, to be provided to students at no (extra) cost to the student as an alternative to refunding course money. Where the student agrees to this arrangement, the Institute will not be liable to refund the money owed for the original enrolment.
Refunds based upon visa refusal (for international students)
The Institute will make a full refund of tuition fees less administration costs (application fee($150),OSHC already applied for, homestay booking fee, airport pickup fee and administration fee($100) incurred in the application and enrolment process if:
• The student provides documentary evidence that his / her application for a visa has been unsuccessful by Australian High Commission/Australian Embassy/Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC) AND
• The student's start date for the first course as mentioned on the Letter of Offer has not passed.
Refunds based on cancellation of student visa (for international students)
If a student's visa is cancelled due to their breach of visa conditions or the institute's policies and procedures on or after the course start date as stated in CoE and LOO, there will be no refund of fees.
Refunds based upon student application
The assessment of refund applications shall be granted as indicated below:

Application for refund more than 12 weeks before the agreed start date as stated in the Letter of Offer.
Full refund of total fees paid by student minus Application fee($150), OSHC if already applied for and Administration Fee($100)
Application for refund between 8 to 12 weeks before the agreed start date as stated in the Letter of Offer.
75% refund of total fees paid by student minus Application Fee ($150), OSHC if already applied for and Administration Fee ($100)
Application for refund between than 4 to 8 weeks before the agreed start date as stated in the Letter of Offer.
50% refund of total fees paid by student minus Application Fee ($150), OSHC if already applied for and Administration Fee ($100)
Application for refund less than 4 weeks before the agreed start date as stated in the Letter of Offer.
25% refund of total fees paid by student minus Application Fee ($150), OSHC if already applied for and Administration Fee ($100)
Application for refund on or after the course start date as stated on CoE and LOO
• For joint (package) course offers, the agreed start date is the commencement date of the first course as stated on the Letter of Offer.
• If the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) has already been applied for by Menzies, it is not refundable. Students must apply for an OSHC refund direct to BUPA Australia.
• Home stay booking fee and airport pick-up fee are not refundable under any circumstances.

Information about students will be treated as confidential, but may be made available to Commonwealth and State agencies, as required by regulations/law.

Information is collected on this form and during your enrolment in order to meet our obligations under the ESOS Act and the National Code 2007; to ensure student compliance with the conditions of their visas and their obligations under Australian immigration laws generally. The authority to collect this information is contained in the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000, the Education Services for Overseas Students Regulations 2001 and the National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2007. Information collected about you on this form and during your enrolment can be provided, in certain circumstances, to the Australian Government and designated authorities and, if relevant, the Tuition Assurance Scheme and the ESOS Assurance Fund Manager. In other instances information collected on this form or during your enrolment can be disclosed without your consent where authorised or required by law.
Under Student Visa Regulations (Condition 8206) it is not possible to transfer to another education institution for the duration of any preliminary course and/or the first six months of the principal course. Requests for transfer must be made to the Coordinator and should follow the guidelines of Menzies Institute of Technology Policy on Transfer between registered providers. If the institute approves a transfer, any monies transferred will be in accordance with Menzies Institute of Technology's Refund Policy.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS
It is the obligation of any student enrolled into a course of study at Menzies Institute of Technology to notify the Institute of his / her change of address while enrolled in the course
PROCEDURE FOR DEFERMENT, SUSPENSION OR CANCELLATION FOR STUDENT ENROLMENT
Termination of student studies prior to completion course;
- Student completed course early - Student left provider - Student transferred to course at another provider - Student notifies actively (or inactively) cessation of studies - Provider decision to cease student enrolment
Deferring/Suspending Student Enrolment as listed: - Compassionate or compelling circumstances - Student misbehaviour. Unsatisfactory course progress and attendance may be subjected to termination, deferment or suspension of studies.
