Certificate III in Dental Laboratory Assisting

The Certificate III in Dental Laboratory Assisting provides you the skills to conduct supportive dental services in preventive and restorative dental procedures, and construct basic dental appliances.

Upon completion of the course, you will be a qualified Dental Laboratory Assistant. You will be able to work as a Dental Laboratory Assistant under the supervision of a Dental Technician in a laboratory or under a Dentist in a dental clinic.

In some cases, the Certificate III in Dental Laboratory Assisting provides an opportunity to those who would like to pursue a career as a Dental Technician but are unsure if they would like commit to a more advanced Diploma of Dental Technology course at point of admission. Therefore, the Certificate III in Dental Laboratory provides students the chance to reflect on different options whilst gaining an additional qualification.

You may also study the Certificate III in Dental Laboratory Assisting with the Certificate III in Dental Assisting as they have overlapping units. As a result of achieving two qualifications, you gain a competitive advantage as an all-rounded dental practitioner. You will work in dental clinics as a Dental Assistant and Dental Laboratory Assistant.
