Group work ‘frustrates’ e-students

GROUP learning is the key to successful e-learning, but online collaborations can be brought undone by “free riders”, a Spanish study has found.

The study of 40 online masters students at the Barcelona-based Open University of Catalonia found that most felt occasional frustration during collaborative online activities, with commitment imbalance by far the biggest gripe.
